We've Got Mousers!

The Humane Society of the Ochocos has some of the best Barn Cats in the
country! These cats have been spayed/neutered and have received all of their
shots, including Rabies and they're ready to move into your cozy barn. We only
ask that you provide shelter, water and food (to supplement the mice).

For only $10 (that's right folks, only $10) you will get your mouse problem under
control and give a home to a very well qualified pest control agent in the process.
Call us today for more details.

Shelter Giving Drive Gets Underway

The Humane Society of the Ochocos (HSO), Prineville’s only animal shelter, has worked for more than
a decade to provide for homeless pets in this community. Each year the HSO assists 1,200 to 1,500
homeless, lost and neglected animals – that’s approximately 17,000 pets since we opened our doors. It
is a tireless task, with constant and growing demands made on a very small staff and a corps of
dedicated volunteers – and it is a job we are all committed to performing. Spurred on by an increased
demand for our services, a need to make repairs and upgrades to an aging shelter, combined by the
stresses of an ailing economy, we are kicking off our first annual Shelter Giving Campaign and
Membership Drive.
