Prineville, OR, December 7, 2010 – The Humane Society of the Ochocos received two
generous grants this week, the largest from the Ward Family Fund through Oregon Community
Foundation in the amount of $1,000 grant which will help support general operations. The
second grant comes from The Pedigree Foundation in the amount of $653.87 which will be
used to assist the shelter’s canine adoption programs.

“We are very grateful for these grants and they couldn’t have come at a better time,” said
Shelter Manager Janelle Moore. “These funds will help us to continue to do the important work
that we do, work made possible by generous donations from the community and through
grants such as those received from the Oregon Community Foundation and the Pedigree
Foundation.”
