Humane Society of the Ochocos - Prineville, Oregon

The Humane Society of the Ochocos was founded in 1995, and since that time we have been able to recruit and
maintain a qualified and dedicated staff and volunteer corp. We have operated successfully without tax support during
that time providing services to this part of central Oregon. With the increased need for services, we are embarked on a
membership program in 2003 so that the Humane Society could be taken to the next professional level as a
full-service, financially sound Humane Society serving the region.

Because of the desire to improve our services and awareness of our programs in the community, the Board made an
historic decision for the Humane Society of the Ochocos to become an annual membership organization. Our Board
would like to invite you to join a growing network of supporting members. Below you will find the various levels of
membership available to you. We hope that you will consider becoming a partner with the Humane Society at whatever
membership level best fits your personal giving program. Your participation as a member will help provide animal
welfare and educational services specific to Prineville and outlying areas.

Humane Societies in Oregon and throughout the nation have historically been membership organizations. The
Humane Society of the Ochocos is pleased to offer the membership program to the community and to folks interested
in the ongoing welfare of pets in Central Oregon. Benefits of membership will include a subscription of our newsletter,
a personal invitation to an annual meeting of the Humane Society of the Ochocos, and the opportunity to participate in
other events.

By contributing toward the membership program, you will play a key role in making specific programs possible for our
community. The volunteer and education programs will be enhanced, allowing us to provide essential services in the
areas of animal adoption, animal education in the schools and the community, return of more lost or stray animals to
their families, programs on the importance of pet health care and responsible pet ownership, and the importance of
spay and neutering.
